Every single star fell down from the sky into Paradise Marsh, a perfect endless wetland crawling with wildlife. Wander around equipped with your trusty bug net and find a way to replenish the empty night sky. Along the way, pick wild flowers, discover lost poems and meet intriguing and colourful characters who need your help...
First prototyped during "A Game By It's Cover" Game jam in September 2020, game developer Etienne Trudeau wanted to create an experience inspired by the nostalgia of his childhood spent catching bugs in the countryside. Influenced by prominent indie games like Proteus and A short Hike, the creative vision behind Paradise Marsh was to create beautiful and organic sceneries while keeping a simpler "lo-fi" aesthetic. Feeling that the project wasn't complete and determined to create a deeper and more meaningful experience, Etienne continued to work on improving the game during nights and weekends. "It's gonna be done in like two weeks" said Etienne several times . Eventually, the weeks became months and he partnered with game designer Raphaël Dely to expend on the narrative and poetic side of the experience. Almost a year into development, the one and only Disasterpeace (Rich Vreeland) joined the project to compose music and sound design a truly unique and interactive ambience for the game. Paradise Marsh is set to be launching in 2022 on PC, Xbox and Switch!
